Majlis (Maldives)

The Majlis (on Dhivehi ރައްޔިތުންގެ މަޖިލިސް) is the Parliament in unicameral the Maldives . 85 members of parliament are elected. It is located in the capital, Malé .

The last election took place on March 22, 2014. Here President Abdulla Yameen's Progressive Party (PPM) and the Jumhooree Party (JP) allied with it were able to secure a large majority.
