Career

societies

Heller played twelve years for 1. FC Quadrath-Ichendorf before moving to the top division Bonner SC in 2004 . Through the second team from Alemannia Aachen and Sportfreunde Siegen , Heller finally got to Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt during the winter break of the 2006/07 season . On the first match day of the second half of the season he made his Bundesliga debut when he came on for Ioannis Amanatidis in the 68th minute of the 1: 3 home defeat of Eintracht against FC Schalke 04 . Heller played his first Bundesliga game over 90 minutes on February 3, 2007 (20th matchday) in a 0-0 home game against 1. FSV Mainz 05 . With his first Bundesliga goal on April 14, 2007 (29th matchday), he sealed the 4-2 away win over Arminia Bielefeld . In total, Heller played eleven times in the Bundesliga (one goal) and once in the DFB Cup in his first season for Eintracht Frankfurt . In the following season he only came to four BL inserts (one goal) and often only played for the second team in the Oberliga Hessen .

In order to collect match practice, Heller was loaned out to the relegated MSV Duisburg in the 2nd Bundesliga in the 2008/09 season. After a temporary suspension by coach Peter Neururer , Heller made 18 second division appearances and one goal at the end of the season.

Even after his return to Frankfurt in the summer of 2009, he did not manage to establish himself as a regular player. After Heller had only played 19 Bundesliga games in two years and had no scoring, he moved to the second division promoted Dynamo Dresden for the 2011/12 season . For the 2012/13 season he joined the second division relegated Alemannia Aachen , where he received a two-year contract. However, this contract already lost its validity in summer 2013 due to the relegation and bankruptcy of Alemannia Aachen.

Heller then moved to SV Darmstadt 98 within the league . There he managed to march through from the third to the first division from 2013 after two seasons . He scored the club's first two Bundesliga goals in 33 years in a 2-2 draw on August 15, 2015 (1st matchday) in the home game against Hannover 96 .

On June 28, 2017, FC Augsburg announced Heller's commitment. Heller made a free transfer and received a two-year contract with the Bavarian Swabians until June 30, 2019.

For the 2018/19 season , Heller returned to SV Darmstadt 98. He signed a contract that ran until June 30, 2020.
