Messier 68 (also known as NGC 4590 ) is a 7.3  mag bright globular star cluster with an angular extent of 11.0 'in the constellation of Water Snake and about 33,300 light years from Earth. It is relatively difficult to observe in Central Europe because of its low brightness and its southern position.
