Michael Floyd Jr. (* 27. November 1989 in Saint Paul , Minnesota ) is an American American football poker players in the National Football League (NFL). He last played for the Baltimore Ravens as a wide receiver . Before that he was already under contract with the New Orleans Saints , the Arizona Cardinals , the New England Patriots as well as the Minnesota Vikings and the Washington Redskins . With the Patriots he could win the Super Bowl LI .

college

Floyd, who also made a name for himself as an athlete and basketball player during high school , had offers from several universities, chose the University of Notre Dame and successfully played college football for their team, the Fighting Irish, between 2008 and 2011 . In a total of 43 games he was able to run 3,686 yards and achieve 38 touchdowns . Floyd is one of the most successful receivers in the history of his team and holds numerous school records to this day.

NFL

Arizona Cardinals

Floyd was selected as the 13th player by the Arizona Cardinals in the 2012 NFL Draft and received a four-year contract worth $ 9.97 million . Already in his rookie season he ran in all games, three times even as a starter , with two touchdowns.
In the 2013 season he was able to run more than 1,000 yards for the only time so far. In the following seasons he established himself alongside Larry Fitzgerald as the determining player in the Cardinals' receiver corps.
In December 2016, Floyd, who had already been temporarily suspended at university for drink-driving , was jailed for the same offense,
driving under the influence of psychoactive substances , and then immediately released by the Cardinals.

New England Patriots

Minnesota Vikings

On September 30, 2018, Floyd received a new contract with the Washington Redskins.

Baltimore Ravens

Almost 8 months later, on May 17, 2019, Floyd signed a one-year contract with the Baltimore Ravens to liven up the competition in the wide receiver lineup. Before the beginning of the regular season , however, he was released again.
