This is an episode listing of the Mini-Max television series . Mini-Max is an American agent parody produced by NBC (seasons 1-4) and CBS (final season) from 1965 to 1970 and won a total of seven Emmy Awards .

1st season (1965–1966)

The season started on September 18, 1965 and was broadcast on Saturday evenings from 1965 to 1966. It earned producer Leonard B. Stern an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Comedy Series . It was also Don Adams as Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series nomination. The episode Diplomat's Daughter was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Director for a Comedy Series (Paul Bogart), and Buck Henry and Mel Brooks for Outstanding Screenplay for a Comedy Series for the pilot Mr. Big .

13 episodes were dubbed for ARD in Germany between 1967 and 1968 ( written in italics ). Later they were all re-dubbed by ZDF .

As was discovered in 99, KAOS smuggled secret information out of the country by sending dolls via a department store that divulged the information when a string was pulled. When Max and 99 are caught by KAOS, they try to free themselves with the help of toys. John Hoyt has a guest appearance as Mr. Bunny (a parody by Ernst Stavro Blofeld ).

After important buildings were inexplicably blown up, CONTROL followed the trail to an art gallery where former chemist Rex Savage collaborated with painter Mondo and produced a number of explosive paintings. 99 poses as an art expert with Max as her butler and tries to get fingerprints and photos of Savage, but it turns out to be more complicated than expected.

KAOS wants Dr. Kidnap Shotwire, a brilliant scientist whose work has been delayed for six months thanks to his bodyguard's helping hands. This is none other than agent 86. The commissioned KAOS agent, Natz, still has an account with Smart, as he once brought him to prison.

It is the first episode with the KAOS-built robot Hymie (played by Dick Gautier) that Max can get on his side.

A lot of KAOS agents suddenly fly to Washington. Everyone has a piece of a bomb with them. With the help of Agent 44, Max and the boss manage to catch a KAOS agent and extract confidential information from him.

"The Claw" is back and wants to lure Max into a deadly trap. Max and 99 follow the Chinese agent number 3 to San Francisco, as they hope to come across "The Claw" there. This is behind a smuggler's ring that is hiding in a laundromat. The Chinese police inspector Harry Hoo (Joey Forman) offers Max his help.

Max and the boss want to speak to Hubert, a CONTROL agent and violinist. Hubert gives them a sign on stage that he has problems. They eventually find him dead in his dressing room. Hubert only leaves behind a piece of music he composed himself, in which he has hidden a reference to the perpetrator.

KAOS stole the plans for a nuclear warship and hid it on a freighter. The informant who is supposed to give Max the details is shot in front of his eyes. Max can only hear a strange noise that the shooter makes when he escapes. When Max and 99 book a trip on the ship, they notice that almost all of the passengers seem to be making the noise. Agent 44 is also on the ship.

KAOS smuggles plans through the textile designer Richelieu. One of Richelieu's models wants to sell Max information. But when Max shows up at her place, she has turned into a mannequin. The boss furiously forbids Max to work on the case. Without the boss's knowledge, 99 (as a model) and Max (as a mannequin) go to Richelieu to clarify the case.

Siegfried (Bernie Kopell, who plays the recurring character here for the first time), Vice President of the Department for Public Relations and Terror at KAOS, kidnaps the boss. In retaliation, Max kidnaps KAOS 'best hit man. After that, the kidnappings escalate into war, which ends with only Max and Siegfried being free.

Max has to pretend to be a recently released criminal, namely Jimmy Ballantine, the safe cracker. CONTROL lets KAOS believe that Ballantine burned his face so that Max can wear face bandages and thus remain undetected at KAOS. CONTROL considers a barber shop to be a secret meeting place for KAOS. 99 poses as a manicure expert and Agent 13 lurks in the steam machine for hot towels. The KAOS agents ask Max to open a Bundesbank safe. Since 99 knows which of the safes it is, the boss has to set it up so that all of them remain unlocked. After Max opens the vault, the KAOS agents steal the money and want to get rid of Max, but their plan backfires as he can outsmart them. 99 appears with the boss, whom Max then accidentally locks in the safe.

The strangler kills a man Max was supposed to protect. After the boss sends him on vacation, Max decides to pursue the strangler to Casablanca instead.
What is remarkable about this episode is that Don Adams imitates Humphrey Bogart and Barbara Feldon sings the two songs There'll Be Some Changes Made and the well-known chanson La vie en rose by Édith Piaf .

Max follows a KAOS agent who is smuggling a parrot. When Max wants to interrogate the parrot, his lawyer frees him. Max and 99 follow him to a pet shop that acts as a cover for the "smiling killer" Melnick, as Max discovers. When they try to break into the store after the store closes, Max, 99, and their dog Fang are overwhelmed. They realize that the parrots must memorize secret information and then use it to smuggle it out of the country.
The episode shows Fang's last appearance in the series.

While Max has plans for a nuclear reactor with him, he comes across agents from KAOS. He slides the plans on to an unsuspecting stranger who turns out to be a criminal on the transport to the Joliet Correctional Center . The boss, Max, and 99 go into action to expose the people behind the DRY-UP attack. When they are ambushed by KAOS in a hospital, the boss is wounded.

Max has to testify against a known, recently arrested KAOS agent. Two weeks before the start of the trial, KAOS tries to kill him beforehand using various methods to ensure that he does not make it to court.
The result is a reference to Witness for the Prosecution (ger .: Witness for the Prosecution ) by Agatha Christie .
