history
Locations in front of the city of Neunkirchen are mentioned early on, which can be clearly associated with today's community "Natschbach-Loipersbach". However, it can be assumed that these were only sparsely populated at the time, as the nature of the soil in this area tends to indicate that there was a swamp area or at least a wetland area of the not yet regulated Schwarza.
The origin of the name "Natschbach" is unclear. Natsch could be the typical Austrian term for "pig" or refer to a field or person name.
Rudolf Weiser also interpreted “Natsch” as a synonym for “mud” (in connection with a Drude saga) and saw the origin of the name of the place created by a brook in a marsh area.
There can also be a reference to “Nätsch” (from Lombardy nedesch ), a stiff bristle grass that usually only occurs in the Alpine region and which has given its name to some field names (Nätsch, Nätschen ).
In 1130 a Megnoz de Nedaspach acted as a witness to a donation to the Formbach church (today Vornbach in Neuhaus am Inn ).
The name ending "-bach" has changed several times over the years. It can be assumed that the place name originally had the ending "-peach", which in the vernacular could stand for several things and was often interpreted as "mountain", "castle" or "brook" when it was written down. Different spellings were recorded on various map drawings. 1697 as "Nadspach". 1813 as "Nadschbach". 1857 as "Natschberg". The place name "Nadspach a D. (village) near Neunkirchen" can also be found in a record of the Austrian places from 1721.
The origin of the name "Loipersbach" is also difficult to verify. It can be assumed that today's “Loipers-” is derived from the Middle High German “Luipin” (property, Aigen, home). The derivation from the Old High German “Luibes”, which is roughly derived from “lu” or “la” (swamp) and “kiwes” (to split), is considered more probable and comprehensible. In the Middle Ages and the late Middle Ages, today's area was still a marshland and was probably used for peat extraction.
Around 1140 the name Luiprantesdorf appeared, which is assigned to a local founder named Liuprant. Lintgraben was first mentioned in 1150. Different spellings can be found on the map drawing. 1697 as "Loiberstorf". 1813 as "Loipersdorf". It can be assumed that the subsequent "-bach" was adapted from the neighboring village of "Natschbach".
In 1970 Natschbach and Loipersbach were merged. 1973 the merger with Lindgrub took place.
