Area description
The NSG is a part of the Grünlandbach valley from the Schwarzen Siepen . The Schwarzen Siepen is a side stream of the Lenne . The grassland is wet and humid grassland. Rare animal and plant species are found in the NSG.
Protection purpose
The NSG is supposed to protect the wet grassland on the Schwarzen Siepen with its species inventory.
As with all nature reserves in Germany, the protection designation pointed out that the area became a nature reserve “because of the rarity, special character and beauty of the area”.
