Niedersaal was a village in the municipality of Windeck in the Rhein-Sieg district . Today it forms the eastern part of Saal .

Lower hall lies on the Leuscheid . Neighboring locations are, in addition to Obersaal, Leuscheid in the southwest and Locksiefen in the northeast.

history

The village belonged to the parish of Leuscheid and at times to the mayor's office of Herchen .

In 1830 the hall had 132 residents.

In 1845 the hamlet of Niedersaal had 62 Protestant residents in 15 houses. In 1888, Niedersaal had 85 residents in 21 houses.

1910 there were 18 households: Ackerer Karl Bachmann, day laborers Karl Dünzer, Ackerer Karl Dünzer, dealer Karl Engelberth, Ackerer and meat inspector Karl Fuchs, Ackerer Wilhelm Gans Auer, Ackerer Wilhelm Heuser, Ackerer Julius Klein, widow of Henry Kuchheuser, factory workers Eduard Orth, Ackerer Gustav Orth, farm worker and mill owner Johann Gerhard Orth, factory worker Karl Orth, farm worker Karl Schiefen, invalid Karl Schumacher, farm worker Karl Sommer, factory worker Wilhelm Sommer and bricklayer Gerhard Weber.

81 people lived here in 1962 and 75 in 1976.
