history

Gutsdorf, formerly known as “Waldburg”, was a small town in 1818 with 43 inhabitants, although their number increased to 187 by 1910. On April 9, 1874, Waldburg was one of the five municipalities that formed the newly established Kurkenfeld district (Russian: Ablutschje). Until 1945, he was part of the district Gerdauen in the administrative district of Konigsberg the Prussian province of East Prussia .

On September 30, 1928, the Waldburg manor district merged with the Ernstwalde manor district (Russian: Ilmowka) and the rural community of Klein Karpowen (1938–1946 Klein Karpau , Russian: Malzewo) to form the new rural community of Waldburg. The population climbed to 550 by 1933 and was still 534 in 1939.

Wolf von Wrangel was born on Gut Waldburg .

As a result of the Second World War , Waldburg came to the Soviet Union like all of northern East Prussia and was renamed "Nikolajewka" in 1946. The village moved from the district Gerdauen in Ozyorsky District ( Darkehmen , 1938-1946 Angerapp ) within the - from 1991/92 then Russia - Kaliningrad Oblast . By 2009, the place was incorporated into the Nekrasovsky soviet (Dorfsovjet Nekrassowo ( (large) Karpowen , 1938-1946 Karpauen )). After that, Nikolajewka became a "settlement" (possjolok) classified as a "settlement" (possjolok) place within the Novostrojewskoje selskoje posselenije (rural community Novostrojewo ( Trempen )) due to a structural and administrative reform .

church

Due to its predominantly Protestant population, Waldburg was part of the Karpowen parish until 1945 (1938–1946 Karpauen , since 1946: Nekrassowo). It belonged to the Darkehmen church district (1938–1946 Angerapp , since 1946: Osjorsk) within the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . The last German clergyman was Pastor Ernst Salkowski .

During the time of the Soviet Union , church life only took place in secret due to government prohibitions. It was not until the 1990s that new Protestant congregations formed in the Kaliningrad Oblast, which merged to form four church regions of the Kaliningrad provost in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia (ELCER). Nikolajewka lies in the catchment area of the church region of Chernyachovsk ( Insterburg ).
