In the 16th century, Sebastian Thüssel von Daltitz sold the property to the Elbogen rule , to which Neusattl then belonged until the patrimonial rule was abolished in 1850. After obtaining independence, the community was part of the Elbogen district, where the court was also located. In 1879 the industrialist Friedrich Siemens founded a branch of his Dresden glass factories in Neusattl. Neusattl was raised to a market town in 1899 and received the right to carry a coat of arms.
