history

Neudorf was first mentioned in documents in 1364 as part of the Bečov castle rule . At that time the owners were the lords of Riesenburg . Gold mining was carried out near Grün in the 14th century. In the 18th and 19th centuries there were few successful attempts to mine silver in the Michaeli, Sebastian and Callisto mines.

After the abolition of patrimonial Neudorf formed a community in the Karlsbad district from 1850 , then in the Beschau district . At the end of the 19th century, the community was reclassified to the Teplá district . 1930 lived in Neudorf 1028 inhabitants. After the Munich Agreement , the community was incorporated into the German Reich and until 1945 belonged to the district of Tepl . To distinguish it from the municipality of Neudorf bei Weseritz , which belonged to the same district, a distinction was made between Neudorf I and II. In 1939 Neudorf I had 848 inhabitants. After the end of the Second World War, the place came back to Czechoslovakia and the expulsion of the Germans began. In the 1950s, the imperial forest was evacuated and the Prameny military training area was established. Nova Ves was incorporated into Mnichov at this time and came to Okres Mariánské Lázně. This was dissolved in 1960. Since then Nová Ves has been part of the Okres Sokolov. In 1961 the Nová Ves community was re-established and Louka was incorporated into the municipality.
