The nature reserve Oberer Schwarzenbach is located in the area of the municipalities of Bad Säckingen and Rickenbach (Hotzenwald) in the district of Waldshut .
Characteristics
The nature reserve was designated by ordinance of the Freiburg Regional Council of December 15, 1992 and has a size of 3.1866 hectares. It is listed under the protected area number 3.189. The CDDA code for the nature reserve is 164873 and corresponds to the WDPA ID .
Location and description
The nature reserve Oberer Schwarzenbach is located in the municipality of Bad Säckingen on the Rippolingen district with 0.9463 ha and in the Rickenbach district on the Willaringen district with 2.2402 ha. The nature reserve includes wet and lean meadows along a stream with diverse, partly strongly endangered communities.
Protection purpose
The main protective purpose of the regulation is preservation
- diverse, in part highly endangered communities, especially on wet and poor meadows along a stream;
- a country-wide unique occurrence of a rare plant species in the area of the former water meadows.

- Anagallis tenella (Zarter Gauchheil), Carex echinata (star sedge), Carex nigra agg. (Brown sedge species group), Carex paniculata (panicle sedge), Carex rostrata (beak sedge), Dactylorhiza majalis agg. (Type group marsh orchid), Danthonia decumbens (three-tooth), Eriophorum angustifolium (Eriophorum angustifolium), Galium uliginosum (Galium uliginosum) Gymnadenia conopsea (gymnadenia conopsea), Listera ovata (twayblade) Menyanthes trifoliata (Bogbean) Nardus stricta (Borstgras), Ophioglossum vulgatum (common adder's tongue), Parnassia palustris (heart leaf), Scutellaria minor (skullcap), Thesium pyrenaicum (meadow flax leaf)
- Dragonflies
- Cordulegaster boltonii (two-striped spring damsel)
