The Bruggmatt nature reserve is located in the municipality of Dachsberg (southern Black Forest) in the Waldshut district .

Characteristics

The nature reserve was designated by decree of the Freiburg Regional Council of December 10, 1969 and has a size of 2,1071 hectares. It is listed under the protected area number 3.078. The CDDA code for the nature reserve is 81471 and corresponds to the WDPA ID .

Location and description

The Bruggmatt nature reserve is located in the municipality of Dachsberg (southern Black Forest) in the Wolpadingen district with a total size of around 2 hectares. The nature reserve, also known as "Bruggrain" in earlier literature, consists of a mountain meadow and hillside moor with floristic rarities in a large forest area in the southern Black Forest (Hotzenwald).

Protection purpose

No essential protective purpose was anchored in the regulation of 1969. The protection purpose of the nature reserve is now defined in Section 23 BNatSchG Paragraph 1 Nos. 1-3, whereby the reasons for designating a nature reserve are not limited to ecological or aesthetic aspects, but also extend to scientific, natural history and cultural aspects .
