At the XX. At the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich , eight canoeing competitions were held for men and three for women. The venue for the canoe slalom sport was from 28. – 30. August 1972 the ice canal in Augsburg , the canoe racing competitions were held from 5th to 9th September 1972 held on the regatta course Oberschleißheim .
