At the XXI. At the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal , seven sports shooting competitions were held. The venue was the Center de tir olympique in L'Acadie (now part of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu ). All competitions were open to both sexes and for the first time, Margaret Murdock, a woman won an Olympic medal in shooting.
