Austria took part in the 1960 Winter Olympics in the US Squaw Valley with a delegation of 26 athletes, 17 men and nine women.

It was Austria's eighth participation in the Winter Olympic Games since 1924 .

Flag bearer

The figure skater Norbert Felsinger carried the flag of Austria during the opening ceremony in the Blyth Arena .

With a recovered gold, two silver and three bronze medals, the Austrian team was ranked 9 in the medals table .
