Planitz is a part of the Saxon community Käbschützal in the district of Meißen .

geography

Planitz is located about nine kilometers west of the district town of Meißen and about six kilometers southeast of Lommatzsch at about 200  m above sea level. NN . The Planitzbach , which has its source at Niederstößwitz and flows into the Käbschütz at Sornitz, flows through Planitz . The Käbschütz flows into the Ketzerbach , which flows into the Elbe at Zehren . The district road 8074 runs through the village, which connects the village with Deila , which is only 800 meters to the east . Another road leads south to Niederstößwitz. Planitz is characterized by three-sided courtyards , which are surrounded by simple residential buildings. There are agricultural areas around the place .

The district of Planitz is bordered by Sornitz in the northeast, Leutewitz in the east and Deila in the southeast. To the south lies Niederstößwitz (all districts of the municipality of Käbschützal), to the southwest of Planitz border Ziegenhain and Leippen (districts of the municipality of Ketzerbachtal ). Neighboring towns to the west are Graupzig and Eulitz (districts of the municipality of Leuben-Schleinitz ).

history

Planitz is first mentioned in 1264 as Plauneuuiz . In 1287 a Martinus de Plawenitz is mentioned. The place name developed from Plawanwicz (1334), Plawnicz (1466) and Blanicz (1551) zu Planitz in 1791. Planitz belonged to the Meißen castrum in the margraviate of Meißen , and from the 16th century onwards to the Meissen inheritance . The basic rule exercised mid-16th century proportionately the cathedral chapter Meissen and manors Batzdorf , Delia and Schleinitz made. Later the manors Sornitz and Siebeneichen were also landlords. The Saxon rural community order of 1838 gave Planitz independence as a rural community.

To the farming hamlet Planitz in 1900 a 159 extended hectares large block and strip-floor , on going about the inhabitants of the village agriculture. In 1913, Planitz merged with the neighboring town of Deila to form the new municipality of Planitz-Deila and thus lost its communal independence. After the Second World War , Planitz became part of the Soviet occupation zone and later the GDR . In the district reform of 1952 , the places were incorporated into the Meißen district in the Dresden district , which had essentially emerged from the Meißen district administration (later Meißen district). The farmers in the village now went the way of agriculture in the GDR .

After reunification and reunification , Planitz-Deila became part of the newly founded Free State of Saxony . In the district reform in 1994 , the district of Meißen-Radebeul (from 1996 district of Meißen ) was formed from the old area of ​​the district of Meißen and parts of the district of Dresden-Land , to which Planitz belonged until 2008. Also in 1994, Planitz-Deila, Krögis and Jahna-Löthain united to form the new large municipality Käbschützal with 37 districts. Since August 1, 2008, this municipality has been part of the third district of Meißen, which was formed from the district of Meißen and the district of Riesa-Großenhain in the Saxony district reform in 2008 .
