The village is located southwest of the district capital Sankt Veit an der Glan , on the southern edge of the Glantal , west of Hörzendorf .

history

The place was mentioned in 1087 as Raggewich , the estate belonged to the Viktring monastery in the 13th century . Megiser mentioned a castle bike path that belonged to the Hagen family, who were also lords of Niederdorf . In the 19th century a Gut Ilmitzerhof was mentioned here.

Located in the Hörzendorf tax community, the place belonged to the Karlsberg tax district in the first half of the 19th century . When the local congregations were formed in the course of the reforms after the 1848/49 revolution, Radweg came to the Hörzendorf community (which was initially run under the name of Karlsberg community ); In 1972 the place fell to the municipality of Sankt Veit an der Glan.
