Rasmus Nissen Kristensen (born July 11, 1997 in Brande ) is a Danish football player . He is under contract with FC Red Bull Salzburg in Austria .

Career

society

Kristensen, who grew up in Brande, played in his youth for the local Brande IF and switched to the youth performance center of the partner club FC Midtjylland via the U13 from Herning Elite . In the 2015/16 season he made five appearances in the UEFA Youth League and made his professional debut on March 7, 2016 in a 2-1 draw on matchday 20 in the away game against FC Nordsjælland . On May 11, 2016 Kristensen scored his first goal in the men's area in a 4-1 win on matchday 29 against Hobro IK with the goal to 2-1. In the second half of the 2015/16 season he came to a total of twelve missions. In June 2016 he signed a five-year contract. In the new season he played eight games in the Europa League qualification , four games in the Danish Cup competition, 25 games in the league (fourth place), eight games in the championship round (fourth place) and one game in the Relegation. In the first half of the 2017/18 season he played 17 times in the league and in seven games in qualifying for the Europa League .

In January 2018 Kristensen moved to Ajax Amsterdam in the Dutch Eredivisie and received a contract valid until June 2022. On February 7, 2018, he made his debut for the Amsterdam team in a 4-2 win on matchday 22 in the away game against Roda JC Kerkrade . In 2019 the Dane won the “double” from the national championship and cup with Ajax.

For the 2019/20 season, the defender moved to Austria for FC Red Bull Salzburg , with whom he received a contract that runs until May 2024.

National team

Kristensen went through all Danish youth national teams from the U18. He took part in the U21 European Championship 2017 in Poland and was used in the last group game against the Czech Republic. The Danish team retired as third in the group.

Kristensen is the nephew of former midfielder of SK Sturm Graz , Sigurd Kristensen , and a cousin of former defender of the 1. FC Kaiserslautern and FC Ingolstadt 04 , Leon Jessen .
