Reagan Cabinet

Ronald Reagan, 40th President of the United States

Ronald Reagan served as President of the United States from 1981 to 1989 , two full terms. During this time, there were numerous personnel changes in his cabinet . Building Minister Samuel Pierce was the only minister to remain in office for the full eight years.

Reagan also appointed politicians who were ministers in previous cabinets: George Shultz , Minister of Labor and Finance in the Nixon cabinet , became Secretary of State; Caspar Weinberger , Minister of Health under Nixon and Ford , became Minister of Defense.
