The rowing Bundesliga season 2016 is the eighth season of the rowing Bundesliga . It lasts from the end of May to September and consisted of four days of racing. A total of 8 teams registered for the 1st and 14 teams for the 2nd division for men, 11 teams for women. The men’s championship was for the eighth time the Crefeld rowing club, and the women’s Red team from Melitta-Achter Minden. The Sparkasse Gießen-Achter and the debutant Köpenick-Achter secured promotion in the 2nd Bundesliga after the Hannoverscher Ruder-Club had topped the table until the last day of the race.
mode
On every race weekend, the eighth of each league row in a time trial in which all teams complete the distance against the clock. After the results of these so-called time trials, the pairings for the following round of 16 will be set. The final round consists of eighth, quarter, half and final races, which are held in a knockout system . Every placement is carried out in order to be able to assign points to the teams. The winner of a race weekend wins z. E.g. in a league with 16 teams 16 points, each further placed boat one point less. The table results in the individual leagues result from the addition of the points gained by each club boat on the racing weekends.
