The 2010 season was the fifth edition of Super 14 , a rugby union competition with 14 franchise teams from Australia , New Zealand and South Africa (from 1996 to 2005 the competition was called Super 12).
The season began on February 12, 2010 and ended with the final on May 29, 2010. A total of 94 games were played, with each team playing a round robin against the 13 other teams. There followed two semi-finals and finally the final. The Bulls from the South African capital Pretoria became champions for the third time .

- 4 points if you win
- 2 points if there is a tie
- 0 points in the event of a loss (before possible bonus points)
- 1 bonus point for four or more attempts , regardless of the final score
- 1 bonus point if you lose less than seven points
