Season 2007 of Super 14

The 2008 season was the third edition of Super 14 , a rugby union competition with 14 franchise teams from Australia , New Zealand and South Africa (from 1996 to 2005 the competition was called Super 12).

The season began on February 15, 2008 and ended with the final on May 31, 2008. A total of 94 games were played, with each team playing a round robin against the 13 other teams. There followed two semi-finals and finally the final. The champions were for the seventh time the Crusaders from the New Zealand city of Christchurch .
