Location of Schweicheln-Bermbeck in Hiddenhausen

Schweicheln-Bermbeck is the largest part of Hiddenhausen in the Herford district in terms of area and population .

The place is in the east of the municipality and has 4883 inhabitants (as of 2019). On April 1, 1950, the previously independent communities Schweicheln and Bermbeck were merged to form the community Schweicheln-Bermbeck. The independence lasted only 18 years. With the territorial reform, which came into force on January 1, 1969, Schweicheln-Bermbeck became part of the Hiddenhausen community.

The Hiddenhausen Museum School in Schweicheln an der Blumenstrasse is a museum run by a voluntary association that has restored the listed building from 1847 and, among other things, organizes lessons in it as it did 170 years ago.
