Oetinghausen is a district of the municipality of Hiddenhausen in northeast North Rhine-Westphalia . Until the regional reform in 1969 it had formed its own municipality. On January 1, 1969, the place was incorporated into Hiddenhausen. The district has 4021 inhabitants and consists of the localities Oetinghausen , Oetinghauser Heide and Arode .

Oetinghausen has a primary school, an Evangelical Lutheran Church , a pharmacy, a travel agency, a supermarket and other shops.
