Obernbeck [ ˌʔoːbɐnˈbeːk ] is a district of the city of Löhne in northeast North Rhine-Westphalia . Until it was founded in 1969, the place formed its own community .
Location and districts
The district is located in the west of the Löhn city area. Neighboring districts are Ulenburg in the north and east, Löhne-Bahnhof in the southeast and Löhne-Ort in the south. Otherwise, Kirchlengern joins with Südlengern , Kirchlengern-Dorf and Häver in the west.
Obernbeck has about 6,500 inhabitants and is located on the north bank of the Werre . The terrain rises sharply to the west with the ridge of the Egge, further east it rises more gently from the river valley. Districts are Obernbeck (center), Feld and Ellerbusch . The neighboring official district of Ulenburg with just under 500 inhabitants is also partly counted as part of Obernbeck in the general perception.
