The Scottish Football Association ( SFA ) is the leading football association in Scotland .
history
The SFA was formed on March 21, 1873, following a meeting at Dewar's Hotel in Glasgow eight days earlier. The eight founding associations were as follows:
- 3rd Lanarkshire Rifle Volunteers
- Clydesdale FC
- FC Dumbreck
- FC Eastern
- Granville FC
- FC Kilmarnock
- FC Queen's Park
- FC Vale of Leven
