history
Seubersdorf was first mentioned in a document with the spelling Seyferßdorf in 1320 as a gallows site belonging to the Freyenstat district court .
Seubersdorf was part of the Holnstein lordship, which Franz Ludwig von Holnstein , the illegitimate son of the Bavarian Elector Karl Albrecht (Emperor Karl VII), had been given as a Bohemian fief in 1747. The municipal coat of arms, however, is a mixture of elements from the arms of the noble families, which were most significant for the former Hofmark Ittelhofen, which was part of the municipality. The six golden linden leaves on a red background are intended to remind of the Lords of Ittelhofen (Uttelhofen) and the black double-headed eagle, surrounded by blue clouds, on a golden background of the Apian family .
The ruins of Adelburg Castle from the 12th century are located on a hilltop near Seubersdorf .
- Incorporations
On January 1, 1972, the previously independent communities of Eichenhofen with the districts Gastelshof and Haag and Wissing with the district Wachtlhof were incorporated.
