Staden is a small Belgian town in the Roeselare arrondissement in the province of West Flanders . The municipality belongs to the Flanders Region and the Flemish Community. Zonnebeke lies between Ypres , Roeselare and Diksmuide . The municipality consists of Staden and the two villages Oostnieuwkerke and Westrozebeke . With an area of ​​46.24 km², Staden had 11,489 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2019).

Since May 15, 2004, Staden has been twinning with the German city of Florstadt .
