Stefflon Don (born December 14, 1991 in Birmingham , United Kingdom , civil Stephanie Victoria Allen ) is a British singer and rapper of Jamaican descent. With the single Hurtin 'Me she reached the top 10 of the British single charts in 2017 .

biography

Stefflon Don was born in Birmingham, the daughter of two Jamaicans, and spent her childhood in Rotterdam in the Netherlands . She has lived in London since she was 14 , where she has worked as a hairdresser since 2012. Her stage name is a modification of the nickname of John Gotti , Teflon Don and at the same time a composition of her first name and her current place of residence.

In September 2016 Stefflon Don acted as a guest musician for Jeremih on his song London . Also in 2016, the rapper released her debut EP Real Thing . In 2017 she worked with Jax Jones and Demi Lovato for Jones Single Instruction , which reached number 17 in the British single charts and number 31 in the German single charts . With her single Hurtin 'Me , on which she is featured by French Montana , Stefflon Don reached the top 10 in the United Kingdom and was awarded a platinum record by the British Phonographic Industry .
