Team TheedProjekt-Cycling
The team TheedProjekt cycling is Chemnitz wheel - team (racing community) with the status of UCI track team , the club team to the 2012 s. V. is affiliated and concentrates on the short-term disciplines on the railway. The club and team were founded in April 2009. The striking trademark is the jersey design with a dragon motif. Until 2019 the team operated under the name Team Erdgas . 2012 .
The team consists of athletes led by former track sprinters Jens Fiedler and Michael Hübner .
Since 2012, the team's athletes have won a total of three Olympic medals: Maximilian Levy won a silver in the keirin and a bronze in the team sprint at the 2012 Games in London. Kristina Vogel became Olympic sprint champion in Rio de Janeiro in 2016 .
In June 2018, team member Kristina Vogel had a serious accident while training in the Cottbus cycling stadium . She suffered paraplegia and has been in a wheelchair ever since. The team initiated the crowdfunding campaign "#staystrongkristina" in order to be able to support the athlete and her family financially. The campaign raised around 120,000 euros.
