The Klein Borstel underground station is a stop on the U1 line on the Hamburg underground . The abbreviation of the stop at the operating company Hamburger Hochbahn is KB.

The station is located in the district of Ohlsdorf , district of Klein Borstel , on a railway embankment and has an exit on the south side of the platform to Wellingsbütteler Landstrasse between the abutments of the bridges. The station has two tracks and a central platform and, like every underground station in Hamburg, has train destination displays , benches and clocks. East of the railway embankment was the Ohlsdorf - Ochsenzoll freight track until the 2000s, which was used regularly until the 1970s. In the 2010s, the bridge over the freight track over Wellingsbütteler Strasse was dismantled.
No buses stop at the bus stop. The Albert-Schweitzer-Gymnasium is located in the immediate vicinity of the station .
history
The station was a station of the Langenhorner Bahn and, unlike the other stations, was only opened on May 25, 1925.
In 1955 the station was extensively rebuilt and the access area completely redesigned. In 1939 the platform was extended to the north so that longer trains could stop. So that 9-car trains of the then new DT3 car type can be used, the platform was again lengthened a little to the north around 1970.
The subway station has been barrier-free since June 19, 2020.
