The underground station has an approximately 120 m long central platform in the cut. The station is located a few meters south of the “Ahrensfelder Weg” street, on which the access building is also located.
Due to the single-track route, two trains always meet in Schmalenbeck.
The underground station has been barrier-free since March 13, 2017. The stop has a park + ride facility with 66 parking spaces.
history
The station was completed in 1914 according to a design by Eugen Göbel and opened in 1921. In 1922 the second platform track was opened.
