history

The station, based on a design by Eugen Göbel , was completed around 1914, but not yet when the line to Großhansdorf started operating in 1921, but only opened a year later on June 17, 1922 under the name “Hopfenbach” with only one track .

In 1952 the station was renamed to its current name Ahrensburg Ost.

Structurally, the station has not yet been changed very much, so that it still looks something like it did when it opened.
