The subway station Ahrensburg Ost is a stop of the Hamburg subway - U1 in the Schleswig-Holstein town of Ahrensburg . The abbreviation of the operating company Hamburger Hochbahn is AO.

The station has a central platform around 120 meters long on the embankment. It lies parallel to the “Kuhlenmoorweg” and ends in the east at the “Ahrensfelder Weg” street, on which the access building from 1914 is also located.
The stop has a park + ride facility with 56 parking spaces. Ahrensburg Ost has been barrier-free since March 13, 2017.
history
The station, based on a design by Eugen Göbel , was completed around 1914, but not yet when the line to Großhansdorf started operating in 1921, but only opened a year later on June 17, 1922 under the name “Hopfenbach” with only one track .
In 1952 the station was renamed to its current name Ahrensburg Ost.
Structurally, the station has not yet been changed very much, so that it still looks something like it did when it opened.
