Wardenbach was a district of the municipality Windeck in the Rhein-Sieg district . Today it forms the easternmost part of Rosbach .

location

Wardenbach lies on the slopes of the Bergisches Land . The neighboring town is Hurst in the east, former neighbors were Seifen in the west and Kleehahn in the northwest. The place can be reached via the state road 333 . To the east of the village was the Auguste-Viktoria-Stift , popularly known as the Forest Hospital .

history

The village belonged to the parish of Rosbach and at times to the mayor's office Dattenfeld .

In 1830 Wardenbach had 27 residents.

In 1845 the hamlet had 21 inhabitants in three houses, eight of them Protestant and 13 Catholic. In 1863 there were 27 people. In 1888 there were 39 residents in nine houses.

In 1962 53 and in 1976 58 people lived here.
