Waverly is a census-designated place (CDP) in Polk County in the US state of Florida with 767 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Waverly is about 30 km northeast of Bartow and about 60 km southwest of Orlando . The CDP is crossed by US Highway 27 ( SR 25 ).

Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the then 767 inhabitants were distributed among 396 households. The population density was 83.4 inh / km². 46.0% of the population described themselves as whites, 45.8% as African American and 1.7% as Indians . 6.3% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 0.3% to several ethnic groups. 8.3% of the population were Hispanics or Latinos .
