Lake Hamilton is a city in Polk County in the US state of Florida with 1231 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Lake Hamilton borders Dundee in the south and is around 25 km northeast of Bartow and around 60 km southwest of Orlando .
Demographic data
According to the 2010 census, the then 1231 inhabitants were distributed over 508 households. The population density was 155.8 inh / km². 63.4% of the population identified themselves as whites, 24.9% as African American , 0.5% as Indians and 0.8% as Asian Americans . 8.3% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 2.2% to several ethnic groups. 13.4% of the population were Hispanics or Latinos .
In 2010 children under the age of 18 and 32.3% of all households lived in 29.1% of all households with persons at least 65 years of age. 72.6% of the households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.61 and the average family size was 3.01.
