Wahneta is about 10 km northeast of Bartow and about 70 km east of Tampa .
Demographic data
According to the 2010 census, the then 5091 inhabitants were distributed among 1504 households. The population density was 808.1 inh / km². 65.1% of the population identified themselves as whites, 1.1% as African American , 0.9% as Indians and 0.2% as Asian Americans . 30.3% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 2.4% to several ethnic groups. 64.7% of the population were Hispanics or Latinos .
