Crooked Lake Park is a census-designated place (CDP) in Polk County in the US state of Florida with 1722 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Crooked Lake Park is on the west bank of Crooked Lake . The CDP is about 30 km east of Bartow and about 80 km south of Orlando and is traversed by US Highway 27 ( SR 25 ).

Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the 1722 inhabitants at that time were distributed over 765 households. The population density was 1148 inhabitants / km². 88.3% of the population identified themselves as whites, 5.9% as African American , 0.3% as Indians and 0.3% as Asian Americans . 4.1% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 1.1% to several ethnic groups. 13.1% of the population were Hispanics or Latinos .

In 2010 children under the age of 18 lived in 34.8% of all households and persons aged 65 or over lived in 30.2% of all households. 72.8% of the households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.65 people and the average family size was 3.07 people.

27.5% of the population were younger than 20 years, 23.9% were 20 to 39 years old, 26.1% were 40 to 59 years old, and 22.3% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 39 years. 47.4% of the population were male and 52.6% were female.

The median annual income was $ 36,284, with 13.1% of the population living below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the first language of 97.10% of the population and Spanish was spoken by 2.90%.
