Scientific Society
As scientific societies scientific or humanities are professional societies referred sporadically scientific academies . As a rule, their sphere of activity is a larger region, state or language area .
The first of these societies were founded in the 19th century with the aim of representing the respective subject area across the board, discussing current research topics and providing opportunities for scientific publications . Numerous foundings also took place from the middle of the 20th century, when professional networking became increasingly important.
The societies usually organize regular meetings on special topics or larger, international scientific conferences every year .
