The Minister of Science is for science competent Federal Minister in the second Republic of Austria ( Minister for Science ), he is also (as Minister of Research ) for research and (as Minister of Education ) for higher education in charge ( "Education Minister" means, in Austria traditionally responsible for Education Minister of Education ).
The institution of the Minister of Science was established by Bruno Kreisky in 1970 and has existed ever since. 1994–2000 the office was connected to that of the transport minister , 2000–2007 with that of the education minister and since 2013 with that of the economics minister . → Main article: Austrian Ministry of Science
