1st Yugoslav Football League 1984/85

The 1st Yugoslav Football League 1985/86 was the 57th season of the highest Yugoslav division in men's football . It began on August 11, 1985 and ended on June 29, 1986.

The Yugoslav Association ordered six days after the last matchday to be repeated because it was claimed that some results had been discussed. Partizan Belgrade refused to repeat the game they won 4-0 against Željezničar Sarajevo. Then it was rated 3-0 for Željezničar. As Red Star Belgrade lost its replay only 1: 2, they were champions ahead of Partizan due to the better goal difference and started in the national champions' cup . In addition, the ten clubs involved were penalized with a deduction of 6 points for the following season.

After many court judgments, the entire process was finally withdrawn on July 29, 1987, and the original final table with Partizan Belgrade as the master was officially recognized.

18 teams played against each other twice on a total of 34 match days, divided into a first and a second half. The last two clubs were relegated.
