Albrecht Hofmann (musician)

Albrecht Hofmann (* 1939 in Schweinsburg ) is a German conductor and music director. Hofmann was music director in Zwickau from 1977 to 1993 and chairman of the Schumann Society from 2002 to 2006. Albrecht Hofmann came into contact with numerous artists from East and West as a conductor at the international Robert Schumann competitions. In 1988 Hofmann himself received the Robert Schumann Prize from the city of Zwickau.
