Alex-Dias Ribeiro (born November 7, 1948 in Belo Horizonte ) is a former Brazilian automobile racing driver .
Career
He drove in the years 1976 and 1977 in the Formula 1 . His best placement was an eighth place at the 1977 German Grand Prix , which he was able to confirm again at the Canadian Grand Prix that year. In 1979 he appeared twice for the team of his compatriot Emerson Fittipaldi , but could not qualify. The Hesketh Racing Team became aware of Ribeiro when he became the Brazilian Formula Ford champion in 1973 . However, he was unable to confirm these successes from his early days in Formula 1.
After his active career, he was a driver of the Formula 1 Medical Car until 2008 .
Ribeiro, who always wore the words “Jesus saves” on his helmet, was one of the most prominent members of the “Christians In Motorsport” association.
