The season 1950/51 the Amateur Oberliga Niedersachsen was the second season of highest Lower Saxony amateur league in football . At that time it took the second highest level in the German league system. A master was not played out. Kickers Emden and VfL Wolfsburg qualified for the promotion round to the Oberliga Nord , although neither team could prevail. From the Oberliga Nord, VfB Oldenburg was relegated to the Amateur Oberliga Niedersachsen.

The relegation places in the west were taken by TSV Gnarrenburg , BV Quakenbrück and TuS Seelze . In the east, TSV Algermissen , SV Munster and FC Schöningen 08 had to relegate. For that rose from the amateur league Lower Saxony of VfL Germania Leer , the ATSV Nienburg , Falke Steinfeld and TSV Verden in the Group West and the Einbecker SV 05 and SV Vienenburg on the Group East. The Hannoversche SC , Werder Hannover and SV Linden 07 changed for the season 1951/52 in the eastern group.

The teams from Wolfsburg and Osterode tied for points determined the champions of the East relay in a decider. The game took place on May 6, 1951 in Hildesheim's Friedrich-Ebert-Stadion . Wolfsburg prevailed and moved into the promotion round to the Oberliga Nord, while Osterode had to play for participation in the German Amateur Championship.
