Jean Frankfurter
Jean Frankfurter (* 9. March 1948 in Frankfurt am Main as Erich Ließmann ) is a German composer and producer .
Life
Erich Ließmann studied music and German literature at the University of Frankfurt am Main. During this time he played in various rhythm 'n' blues bands. The best known were the Frankfurt groups The Raves and The Soul Set . From the 1970s he worked under the pseudonym Jean Frankfurter (previously also Ben Juris; under this pseudonym Frankfurter wrote the German text for Danyel Gérard's Butterfly ).
Frankfurter is considered to be one of the most prominent composers in the field of German-language hits and popular music, but also celebrated success with international productions (including Arabesque , over six million records sold). In the mid-90s, things got quieter for Jean Frankfurter before he celebrated a big comeback with Helene Fischer in 2005 .
Frankfurter lives in Schloßborn im Hochtaunus, where he also runs his recording studio . He is married and has two sons. His wife Ursula runs the music publisher Franky Boy through which Jean Frankfurter's titles are sold.

Author participations and productions
Frankfurter wrote most of his songs with the lyricist Irma Holder until 2011 ; today he mainly works with Kristina Bach , Joachim Horn-Bernges and Tobias Reitz . He also discovered the latter and gave him his first jobs in the music business. But he also worked successfully with other lyricists and songwriters such as Erich Offierowski , Bernd Augener , Günther Behrle , John Möring and Robert Jung . The discovery of new artists is characteristic of Frankfurter's way of working, for whom he develops holistic concepts and is responsible as the sole producer. In this way, he made Helene Fischer one of the most successful German pop singers (the album Farbenspiel is the best-selling of 2013 and 2014 in Germany), but also made stars such as Patrick Lindner , Stefanie Hertel , Michelle , André Stade , Geschwister Hofmann , Oliver Thomas possible and successful careers. He also had long-term collaborations with the Kastelruther Spatzen ( A White Rose ), Andy Borg ( I need you every day ), Marianne & Michael ( When will the music finally begin ), Ireen Sheer ( fire ), Die Paldauer ( The first day after eternity ), Die Flippers ( Come to my island ), Costa Cordalis ( An angel rose from Olympus ), Nicole ( The old man and the sea ), Fernando Express ( Capitano ), Albin Berger ( Jeanny I Love You ) and others.
With the title Fire by Ireen Sheer , he took sixth place in the 1978 Eurovision Song Contest . At the Grand Prix of Folk Music , he took first place with Stefanie Hertel's title Über alles Bacherl goes a Brückerl in 1992 and also landed numerous second places there.
Frankfurter also composed for television programs, e.g. As the by Albin Berger sung Title happiness and tears am Wörthersee from A lock am Wörthersee (ORF, RTL 1990-1992) and for pay television transmitter Gute Laune TV .
