Breitenfeld am Tannenriegel

Breitenfeld am Tannenriegel is a village in the market town of Schwarzautal in the Leibnitz district in Styria . The associated cadastral community is called Breitenfeld .

Breitenfeld am Tannenriegel was an independent municipality until 2014 , but was merged with the municipalities of Wolfsberg in the Schwarzautal , Hainsdorf in the Schwarzautal , Mitterlabill and Schwarzau in the Schwarzautal as part of the structural reform in Styria on January 1, 2015 . The newly formed community now bears the name Schwarzautal . The basis for this was a joint application from these communities.

The village is located in the Leibnitz district in the Austrian state of Styria and consists of a single cadastral municipality.

history

The local community as an autonomous body was established in 1850. After the annexation of Austria in 1938, the community came to the Reichsgau Steiermark, from 1945 to 1955 it was part of the British zone of occupation in Austria.

The last mayor was Franz Hackl (ÖVP) until December 31, 2014.

Municipal council

The municipal council was dissolved on December 31, 2014 when it was merged to form the Schwarzautal municipality. After the result of the municipal council election in 2010 , the ÖVP occupied all nine mandates. No other parties ran for election.

The municipal coat of arms was awarded with effect from June 1, 2006.
