Ehrenhausen an der Weinstrasse is a municipality with 2510 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020) in the Leibnitz district in Styria .

The municipality of Ehrenhausen an der Weinstrasse was created as part of the municipal structural reform in Styria from the municipalities of Ehrenhausen , Berghausen , Ratsch an der Weinstrasse and Retznei, which were dissolved at the end of 2014 .

Together with Arnfels, Leutschach an der Weinstrasse, Oberhaag and Straß in Styria, the municipality forms the tourism association “The Southern Styrian Wine Route”, based in Leutschach an der Weinstrasse.

mayor

Martin Wratschko (ÖVP) was elected mayor at the constituent meeting of the municipal council on April 16, 2015 . Wratschko was mayor of the former Ehrenhausen community until the end of 2014.

The community board also includes the deputy mayor Johannes Zweytick (ÖVP) and the community treasurer Detlef Gruber (SPÖ). Zweytick was previously commissioned as government commissioner from January 1, 2015 to manage the business of the newly composed municipality.
