coat of arms

AUT Stocking COA.jpg

With effect from March 1, 1992, the Styrian state government awarded a municipal coat of arms.

Blazon :

"In green a silver rhizome with three roots and three silver maple leaves growing out to the right and left, above a silver lock consisting of two towers with a roof and connected by a gate with a balustrade."

The three roots show the development of the community from the three communities Stocking, Sukdull and Hart. The (root) stick represents stocking, the roots symbolize Wurzing (largest town in the former municipality of Sukdull) and the leaves indicate Hart (synonymous with forest), the growing leaves also indicate the future prosperity of the municipality. The castle stands for the (former) episcopal fiefs of Seckau Neudorf, Aframhof, Afram-Marienhof and Finkenegg. The church colors were white-green.

Due to the amalgamation of the municipalities, the coat of arms became invalid on January 1st, 2015.
