history

Interior of the parish church

The municipality of Schwarzautal was created as part of the municipal structural reform in Styria from the municipalities of Schwarzau im Schwarzautal , Wolfsberg im Schwarzautal , Breitenfeld am Tannenriegel , Hainsdorf im Schwarzautal and Mitterlabill, which were dissolved at the end of 2014 .

The communities of Mitterlabill and Schwarzau in the Schwarzautal were in the political district of Southeast Styria , the other communities in the Leibnitz district. The boundaries of the districts and the judicial districts have been changed so that the new municipality is now completely within the district and judicial district of Leibnitz.

The former communities of Mitterlabill and Schwarzau in the Schwarzau Valley were in the Feldbach district until the end of 2012 and had the vehicle code "FB". From mid-2013 to the end of 2014 license plates with the abbreviation “SO” were assigned, since 2015 it has been “LB”.

On the evening of Mother's Day , May 13, 2018, after heavy rains, Labbillbach and Schwarzaubach burst their banks and flooded the street. Water entered houses. "... the Labilltalstrasse (L247) in the district of Southeast Styria was closed due to flooding in the area of the Manning / Kleinfrannach intersection."
